The Wellness Workload Calculator separates the time spent doing a routine from the time and direct cost required to keep it available.
A 30-minute practice is not always a 30-minute commitment. Preparation, travel, cleanup and tracking can change what the routine asks of a week. This calculator makes those assumptions inspectable; it does not decide whether the routine is worthwhile.
01 / Enter one routine
Use an ordinary week, not a perfect one
Estimates are enough. Blank fields count as zero, and nothing you enter is sent or stored.
Around-the-routine work accounts for 25% of this weekly estimate.
02 / Read the result
A total is a prompt, not a verdict
Look first at the split between active time and surrounding work. If the routine matters but the surrounding share feels heavy, one setup step, journey, record or cleanup task may be the more useful thing to change.
For a qualitative view, take the maintenance-cost test. To put this option beside another, use the Routine Cost Comparison.
Method and limits
Time: weekly active time = minutes each time × times each week. Weekly surrounding time = (setup + travel + cleanup) × frequency + weekly tracking/admin. Annual time uses 52 weeks.
Direct cost: monthly estimate = (cost each time × weekly frequency × 52 ÷ 12) + fixed monthly cost. Annual estimate = per-session cost × frequency × 52 + fixed monthly cost × 12. Currency is a label only; there is no conversion, inflation or opportunity-cost estimate.
Results are arithmetic estimates, not health, financial or time-use advice. The tool does not value benefits, shared costs, taxes or changing schedules. Entries remain in the page and are not transmitted or stored. Corrections: hello@welnific.com.
