A rest menu is a short list of familiar options, grouped by the demand you want less of—not by which option appears most productive.

The point is not to prescribe the right kind of rest. It is to make a few acceptable choices visible before a tired moment turns into another open-ended decision.

01 / Build the menu

What would feel like less?

Add only options that are genuinely available to you. Empty fields will not appear in the printable menu.

Less deciding

Options with no next choice hiding inside them.

Less input

Options that reduce sound, conversation, screens or information.

Less performance

Options that do not need to be useful, shareable or impressive.

Your rest menu

Your rest menu is waiting

Add a stopping point if an open-ended pause tends to become another decision.

02 / Use the menu

Choose the lane before the item

Ask which demand you want less of first. Then choose any available option in that lane. A repeated choice is still a valid choice; variety is not the goal.

If even that feels like too much choosing, mark one default option on the printed menu. For a guided moment with no form to complete, open Pause.
